“The Weekend Choir”

Queen City Chorale was incepted out of “The Weekend Choir”. Created in February 2021, The Weekend Choir comprised of a variety of talented musicians from the state of Missouri and performed three concerts throughout the calendar year. In February, we presented a project entitled “Spring: Songs of Renewal” containing a variety of unaccompanied works. In August, we presented our first live-audience concert “For Here is Rest” where our audience was challenged to find solace in the natural world around them. Our final concert of the year was in December: “Magnificat”. Through generous gifts and support, we were able to hire string players to collaborate on Durante’s Magnificat, works by Ola Gjeilo, and others. We were also able to hire a tremendous videographer to help capture the magic of that evening. You can view those videos by searching “Queen City Chorale” on YouTube.
